چکیده
Golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) has become an economically important fish in China the past decade. However, Cryptocaryon irritans, a parasitic ciliate, causes considerable economic losses mariculture of T. ovatus. To characterize pathogenesis C. irritans ovatus, pathological properties, immune-related enzyme activity and expression NEMO gene was analysed. The results from histological sections showed that there metamorphosis hyperplasia parasitized sites (skin) with leukocyte aggregation mucous cell increases after infection. Moreover, activities four enzymes, is, alkaline phosphatase (AKP), acid (ACP), superoxide dismutase (SOD) lysozyme (LZM), were significantly increased different tissues Furthermore, ORF ovatus NF-kappa-B essential modulator (ToNEMO) measures 1650 bp, encoding 548 amino acids. ToNEMO transcripts universally expressed all examined tissues, higher levels being observed immune-relevant central nervous tissues. mRNA infection gill, skin, liver, spleen head kidney. These suggested might be involved immune responses helped to elucidate physiological response fish.

Effects of astaxanthin on antioxidant capacity of golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) in vivo and in vitro
The objective of this research was to study the effect of astaxanthin (AST) on growth performance and antioxidant capacity in golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) both in vivo and in vitro. In the in vivo study, two diets were formulated with or without astaxanthin supplementation (D1 and D2; 0 and 200 mg/kg) to feed fish for 6 weeks. In the in vitro study, cells from hepatopancreas of golden po...
متن کاملComplete genome sequence and comparative genomics of the golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) pathogen, Vibrio harveyi strain QT520
Vibrio harveyi is a Gram-negative, halophilic bacterium that is an opportunistic pathogen of commercially farmed marine vertebrate species. To understand the pathogenicity of this species, the genome of V. harveyi QT520 was analyzed and compared to that of other strains. The results showed the genome of QT520 has two unique circular chromosomes and three endogenous plasmids, totaling 6,070,846 ...
متن کاملWater temperature induces jaw deformity and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) gene expression in golden pompano Trachinotus ovatus larvae
Golden pompano Trachinotus ovatus larvae were kept at 26, 29 and 33 °C for 15 days from 3-day post hatching (DPH) to 18 DPH to test temperature-dependent growth and jaw malformation. The growth, survival, jaw deformity and the gene expressions of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) were used as criteria to examine the fish response to temperature manipulation. The growth rate of fish at 29 or 33...
متن کاملNineteen polymorphic microsatellite markers developed for Trachinotus ovatus.
To evaluate the population genetic diversity of the ovate pompano, we isolated and characterized 19 microsatellite markers using a (CA)13-enriched genomic library. Polymorphism was assessed in 30 individuals from a single population collected from the Daya Bay Aquaculture Center, Guangdong, China. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 2 to 18 with an average of 7.8. The observed and expec...

The aim of this study was to determine the optimal stocking density in koi carp (Cyprinus carpio var. Koi). For this reason, 2400 juvenile koi (1.28 ± 0.11 g) were stocked at five levels of density (50, 100, 150, 200 and 300 fish per m3) and reared for 11 weeks and growth performance, survival rate, and hematological parameters were evaluated. There was no significant difference between first t...
